Description
The original Lorenzo company was founded in 1900. Lorenzo Tagliabue, was an Italian master pipe maker with a flair for design. The Valgardena, named after an area in the Dolomites, is one of his most beautiful shapes. He had big hands – most of his pipe creations are comfortable and large.
This Valsesia design is the slightly smaller version, but still large – bowl is 21mm x 42mm deep.
Just as comfortable in the hand, it has a fine well wooded bowl and triangular shank with an added brass band for support. Well cured – it is difficult to understand how light it is when you pick it up.
Straight grain over much of the bowl completed with misty Birdseye. Just imagine trying to find a piece of briar this size today with the current shortage of good briar. And it has never been smoked.
An exceptional addition to any collection.
9mm option, fitted with a removable adapter.
