This is such a classic shape, and the encircling lines show up so well on meerschaum.
The little dents hardly touch the lines.
This pipe has quite a large bowl offering a good capacity, yet its weight is only 34g (23g bowl only).
“Fitted” case, but it only approximates to the exact shape of the pipe. However it closes comfortably and will protect the pipe, in travel and in storage.

A beautifully rounded apple shape bowl, with thick meerschaum walls, but still very light.
It should smoke beautifully and colour evenly all around.
One biggish mark, fortunately on the lower half of the bowl, so it won’t be long before it is absorbed as
the colouring moves up from the base of the bowl.
Firm fitted case, but not exact. I get the impression that the pipes and cases were found separately and
the pipes allocated to the closest fitting cases.
