Plenty of hard wood, a little softer area shows the grain on the shank.
After smoking add the hat to enclose the ash until cleaned.
Very interesting face. Looks impressive on display.
Good condition, light scratches on neck.

Classic Briar wood bowl Tyrolean pipe, 28cm.
This really is a classic, and better for smoking than the Porcelain bowls.
It has been smoked, very lightly, so there you go.
The wooden bowl is intricately carved including several running antelope, It is fitted with a sturdy metal cap, and a sump which is clean – wasn’t smoked too long.
The shank is elegantly formed from several carved pieces of horn, a work of art.
Mouthpiece is horn.
The pipe is decorated further with two fur tassels
