Savinelli Autograph Group 6
The Plateau cut from the briar burl is the secret behind this pipe.
It is the outer part of the briar block where you find the most beautiful texture and grains.
Naturally the blocks are expensive, and they are not all perfect.
The master carver follows the grain as much as possible making creative choices when he has to deal with natural defects within the wood.
And what a stunning result.
A pleasure to look at, a pleasure to hold and a pleasure to smoke
This pipe was personally selected from the Savinelli factory, Barasso Italy
This is the exact pipe you will get
A stunning grain - just enough Crossgrain to ensure that the rest of the bowl is covered with misty BirdsEye. The rim of the bowl, slightly bevelled for ease of filling, shows signs of the Crossgrain which is the root of the BirdsEye. The Crossgrain continues over top and base of shank and bowl. The specially shaped acrylic mouthpiece is fitted with a natural colour band to echo the lighter areas of the briar.
Very light for a smooth pipe - only 47g. Inner bowl 21 x 35mm - good thick wood.
I didn’t even try to resist the 2024 model – striking shape and arresting finishes, you just have to look twice.
Savinelli Autograph Sandblast
The artisan’s take on a classic bent pipe, transformed to show off the beautiful Ring Grain, and incidentally curved inwards to nestle into your hand.
The grain is worth showing off – ring around the bowl and shank with complementary BirdsEye on the rim and under the bowl.
His final touch is the mouthpiece. Dark with gold highlights echoing the highlights on the rich, deep brown, sandblasted finish.
