This is the exact pipe you will get
Just look at the almost Ring Grain of the sandblasted finish, confirmed by the straight grain on the inside of the bowl. Then enjoy the BirdsEye over the rim matching the straight grain, and the bevelled inside of the rim for ease of filling.
The specially shaped acrylic mouthpiece is fitted with a natural colour band to echo the light rim of the bowl.
Very lightweight as you would expect - only 45g. Inner bowl 19 x 38mm - good thick wood.
I didn’t even try to resist the 2024 model – striking shape and arresting finishes, you just have to look twice.
Punto Oro
The “classic” pipe that made the name “Savinelli” famous all over the world thanks to the high quality briar and to the ultimate care in production. The Gold Dot is the stamp of excellence.
The history of the Churchwarden pipe style is traced to the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. Some churchwarden pipes can be as long as 16 inches (40 cm). The bowl is out of the direct line of vision of a book or TV. In German the style is referred to as "Lesepfeife" or "reading pipe". In addition, smoke is well away from your face. More important the length of the stem gives the smoke plenty of time to cool.
The 901 shape from Savinelli has an oval bowl with rounded rim, very comfortable in the hand.
And just look at the grain, plenty of hard briar wood with just enough softer wood to form a beautiful pattern. Flame Grain, flaring almost straight up the bowl from BirdsEye at the base of the bowl and under the shank. Around the front of the bowl, the the grain hugs the shape finishing in a misty BirdsEye on the side. The colour too emphasizes the lovely grain pattern.
Just what you need for a relaxed smoke with your book, or watching TV.

Savinelli Autograph Sandblast
The artisan’s take on a classic bent pipe, transformed to show off the beautiful Ring Grain, and incidentally curved inwards to nestle into your hand.
The grain is worth showing off – ring around the bowl and shank with complementary BirdsEye on the rim and under the bowl.
His final touch is the mouthpiece. Dark with gold highlights echoing the highlights on the rich, deep brown, sandblasted finish.
